A little background about myself (Derrick Bruenger) and my Graphic Design Experience. Fine arts has been a big part of my life since elementary school. Art is what I really enjoyed and was intrigued by the various renditions as a whole. I remember when I was learning the primary and secondary colors on the color wheel, that is when my interest became life. All through grade school and high school art was my outlet. From pencil drawings, painting, ceramics, sculpture, and many other forms of media. Art can be anything and can mean different things to different people, art is how the viewer perceives it and can be completely different from one person to another. After graduating high school in 1998 I attended Neosho County Community College for 2 semesters before moving on to Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. At Pitt State I studied the Commercial Graphics Program which is when my fine arts starting shifting over to the digital arts side of things. Some areas of study included Layout & Design, Illustration, Printing Processes, Photography, Screen Printing, Life Drawing, Pottery, Handmade Jewelry, all part of the Commercial Graphics industry. In 2004 I graduated with a Bachelors of Science Technology, with my Degree in Commercial Graphics with a Minor in fine arts, and an emphasis in Screen Printing and Photography. Since graduating I’ve been employed with several company of which all utilized what I’d went to school to master. In 2007 I started my own small business under the name “Dab Graphics”, My intent was to stay small and have a place to show my art and provide graphic design services wherever needed. After all these years I’m finally doing more of what I love by utilizing my knowledge of Graphics Design to companies and individuals that need Digital Graphics assistance of various kinds. Dab Graphics provides silk screening, laser engraving, creative design concepts, photo editing, color corrections, vectorizing, and promotional products which include items from pens, hats, shirts, banners, decals, and logo designs. Lately we been laser engraving tumblers, acrylic LED signage, leather hat patches and the list goes on and on.

Providing an online portfolio of projects I’ve been involved with over the years was the driving factor when creating DabGraphics.com. I’ve always focused on providing my services but have not done a good job focusing on what I enjoy.
